Spring Boot Microservices: Banking & Payment System Design
Build a production-oriented digital banking platform using Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, security, payments, idempotency and distributed workflows.
SOFTWARE ARCHITECTURE • BANKING • ENTERPRISE AI
Learn how real digital banking, payment, microservice and enterprise AI systems are designed with the trade-offs, failure scenarios and architectural decisions that tutorials often skip.
ABOUT
I’m a software architect and engineering leader with over 20 years of experience designing and building large-scale systems in the financial services domain.
My work has focused on digital banking platforms, payment systems and cloud-native microservices, where correctness, security and resilience matter more than demos and shortcuts.
Through my teaching, I focus on the trade-offs, design decisions and patterns that do not always show up in tutorials. My goal is to help engineers move beyond toy examples and understand how complex systems evolve in real organizations.
I believe architecture is best learned by building end-to-end systems, reasoning about failure scenarios, and understanding why certain decisions are made not just how to write code.
COURSES
Each course is designed around architecture, trade-offs and production thinking.
Build a production-oriented digital banking platform using Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, security, payments, idempotency and distributed workflows.
Extend a real banking platform with governed enterprise AI using Spring AI, RAG, MCP, tool-using agents, memory, guardrails, workflows and multi-agent orchestration.
Learn to reason through scale, consistency, idempotency, async workflows, APIs, failures and architectural trade-offs in a realistic system design interview.
THE BANKSTACK JOURNEY
BankStack is the reference banking platform behind the learning journey. Instead of abandoning one toy project after another, the platform evolves through increasingly complex architectural problems.
Accounts, customers, authentication and core platform boundaries.
Messaging, idempotency, workflows, consistency and reliability.
RAG, MCP, agents, memory, guardrails and governed orchestration.
Reason about the architecture from an interviewer and architect perspective.
STUDENT REVIEWS
5-star feedback from learners who used the courses to sharpen real-world engineering skills.
“The best explanation and coding as per industry standards. I was out of job more than a year, practiced this course, came into track.”
“Absolute game-changer! I cannot wait for your upcoming courses to drop.”
“One of the best spring boot project which focuses on real enterprise level projects and problems associated with them.”
“This course changed that. It made everything feel manageable, clear, and approachable — and gave me the confidence to grow in my career.”
“Clear pacing, practical examples, and engaging instructor.”
